Panama

The Republic of Panama is a country in Central America. It is bordered by Costa Rica, Colombia, the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean. Through the Panama Canal the Atlantic Ocean is connected with the Pacific Ocean which provides a unique position of Panama having access to both coasts.

Panama's economy, because of its key geographic location, is mainly based on a well-developed service sector especially commerce, tourism, and trading. The high levels of Panamanian trade are in large part from the Colón Free Trade Zone, the largest free trade zone in the Western Hemisphere. Panama is a great destination for offshore ventures.

The official language is Spanish and the currency is Balboa (PAB) and United States dollar (USD).
